Brilliant experience with Zest, second to none!
We had superb customer service from Joel at Zest who personally took on our situation with the hire company RecordGo through to getting it resolved.
We hired a car in Majorca in May this year at Palma Airport with RecordGo and from the start they were a shambles trying to palm us off with a car much smaller that we actually booked.
When we return the car they claimed it was damaged...it was not...and charged my card over £400. I challenged this claim and over several weeks they eventually sent so called evidence of this damage, firstly of a car we didn't have and then two conflicting invoices.
Joel was fantastic, he liaised with RecordGo for us and escalated it to the highest level in the company.
Fortunately I had taken out excess waiver insurance with Zest, at a very good price, and in the end Joel ensured I got a full refund. First class service, thank you Joel.

Following the shambles earlier last year, zest went out of their way to investigate and reimburse. I am grateful that they went through everything so carefully to get to the bottom of the issue, so ignore the negative review. They did come good. Eventually. It took a few weeks, but they got there.

Easy and simple - the insurance was all included so no hassle with extra CDW costs. Also liked the ability to change the car rental company right up to the cancellation date at no charge - saved us £120 by changing to Hertz 3 days before we were due to pick up the car.

Delighted with zest car rental and partner Masterking in Vilamoura. Wonderful drop off and pick up service to our hotel. Car spotless and only 3k km on clock. Seamless and professional. No hesitation in recommending them.

This is the second time we have used Zest for our car rental in Faro . Excellent service , car clean and as described and in excellent condition.

I have used Zest a fair few times now and have always had a good experience. The process has been hassle free, the hire companies they set you up with are good and provide good vehicles at competitive prices.

First time using Zest but they found me the best deal in Portugal, explained clearly what cover I needed and made the whole experience very easy, great service

As a regular visitor to Portugal I use Zest for all my car rentals. I only fly into Faro, so this is only about my experience with car hire from there.

Zest is the umbrella for various rental companies and I've used quite a few of them.

To the first time user it can appear slightly daunting when you first land. Finding P4 (where you have to sign-in to collect the car, or your shuttle bus to the depot), is not too easy but the signs are correct, though it is further than you might expect.

The staff at the portacabin are often casual and bored but remember they have done this sign-in procedure a thousand times before, and who wouldn't be bored with that. It is often late in the day and hot as well. So stay calm and all will be well.

Get through the paperwork without dropping your valuables or forgetting your phone or wallet (which in the rush and urgency is all too easy), and the car is ready for you. Always inspect your car using the phone torch and immediately report any damage that is not already itemised. This might appear to p... them off, but that is just the difference between the cultures: they take any such reporting as a personal criticism, which is the typical Portuguese reaction, (believe me, as I have a typical Portuguese son-in-law).

The car is now yours; so drive carefully, which is something most of the other road users don't do!

I've done this probably 50+ times and it's a dream (after the first 20 !), no not really, just maintain a British sense of humour.

There isn't a better rental care hire company out there. Good old fashioned customer service still exists and Zest do it well. Never book with any one else, why would you. Excellent value for money too.

Booked using Zest for Addcar Car Rental at Vienna Airport. Car collection was quick as was the return process. I always take the optional top up insurance from Zest as it is good value and gives you total piece of mind, especially when a lot of hire companies are now charging for the tiniest of scratches. Addcar was good and so is Zest, especially when you want to adjust things as you deal with a UK based company who always answer their phones.

A brilliant experience picking up and dropping off the car and we even managed to extend the hire with one simple phone call to Zest mid holiday.

Zest car hire proved easy to use: Best price; helpful at the end of the phone and the process at the car hire office (Drive on Holidays, Faro) was efficient and quick. We were reassured by having the extended insurance policy which was reasonably priced. Will definitely use Zest again…
